A Brief Introduction by Chief Officer Michael Hermin
Gosford Housing Association Ltd was established in 1977 by a small number of local businessmen who formed the Association Board of Management, to purchase and rehabilitate older type dwellings initially in Armagh City Centre. Presently the Association is still administered by several of the founder members, assisted by the arrival of new members to our Board of Management, who give of their services freely, and receive no monetary gain from their involvement with the Association.
Gosford Housing Association operates as a non-governmental organisation receiving part funding from the Department for Social Development (Housing Associations Branch), and works in co-operation with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive towards the provision of accommodation.
The Board of Management for Gosford Housing Association with Development & Maintenance Manager Michael K. Hermin have agreed in May 2008 a planned maintenance strategy of £1.1M for 2008/09, the transfer of engagement with Donacloney Housing Association and a proposed new development scheme in Portadown.
Gosford Housing Association (Armagh) Ltd as of May 2008 is also part of the Accord Procurement Group, which includes Abode, Fold, Habinteg, Presbyterian and Triangle Housing Associations, as part of the Department for Social Development Procurement strategy.

Transfer of Engagement Agreed
On the 9th April 2008, Mr Erskine Holmes and Ms Thelma Armstrong as representatives of the Board of Management for Donacloney Housing Association Ltd, completed the signing of documentation for the Transfer of Engagement to Gosford Housing Association Ltd, following several weeks of negotiation and discussions.
The completion for the transfer of engagement is expected to conclude in June 2008
